Hellstorm is the direct son of Satan who, despite his father's position, often used his abilities for the betterment of mankind. Satan persuaded Daimon to join him, offering a place to rule by his side, granting him a limitless source of power and eternal life. After much internal conflict, Daimon decided to stand against his father. With this decision, Daimon traveled down into Hell to confront Satan. They engaged in what seemed to be a very one-sided battle. Though Daimon was losing, he was able to distract his father and succeeded in stealing his trident, which was one of his weaknesses. After Daimon escaped with his father's trident, he sealed the gate of Hell with melted Netheraneum, the material which the trident was made of. Although Daimon was constantly troubled and discouraged in his ways, including run-ins with the Defenders, the Avengers, and other super-powered teams, he always remained determined about his cause of keeping the power balance between Heaven and Hell.

Using hair from several figures, including Witchblade's Ian Nottingham, ArtFX Mikael, and ML Omega Red, sculpting was done overtop of the hair to mend the seams and create a flowing movement. Resculpted the expression on the face with an open mouth, and drilled a hole in the left hand to hold the trident. Additional sculpt work was done on the pentagram, pants and shoes. Added a Spawn skull for the belt buckle. The overcoat is very flexible, allowing some action poses and came with the WWE figure. The flame effect was made with a plastic transparent sheath leaving an opening at the top where the trident easily slides in.
