HAPPY HOLIDAYS to my favorite artistic community!!

Tonight I bring you a custom I made for a Secret Santa. It has landed in the lap of an awesome customizer you all know: WARHORSE!!

So when I started this fiend, I was on the fence of using an existing Red Skull or Black Mask head. I wanted this to be a bit more unique, so I opted to sculpt the whole head. I chopped up Cap Boomerang's head and face to a bare orb-like base, and went to work with the Ave's Apoxy. Took my time--and though my pictures may not show it well, there's a TON of detail on that SKULL head!!

Next, I covered his whole body in sculpt, as I wanted the uniform to look reminiscent of Red Skull's WWII look. The pants are soldier's pants, and his under coat is sculpted to uniform spec, buttons and all. I even sculpted an Iron Cross and the eagle wing medal. For the bottom of his coat, I wanted something flexible, so I cut and sealed a cloth bottom part. His belt is a pleather strip. He can be displayed without the trenchcoat.

His hat came from a Major Maxim figure I got from my friend in Germany who I'm making some Metal Gear Solid customs for (thanks Stefan!), and I had to heat it in hot water, put it on his head, and then immediately put it in cool water to resize the hat to fit. It takes a bit of fiddling, but it will fit snug and not fall off at the slighest touch--IF you get it on just right. HOPEFULLY my brother WARHORSE isn't having issues with that! LOL!

I was so glad to be part of this thing--I wasn't sure I was up to it, because I wanted the custo mto be good, and good is relative to a person's taste. So I had to just do waht I thought was right by the figure. I'm happy, and I heard WARHORSE is too--so SUCCESS!
