FOR ONCE YOU START DOWN THE DARK PATH.......

SO tonight is the result of another obssessive experiment. Long ago I made an Anakin with a cape like cloth robe, and I wanted a no-kidding 6 inch scale, POSEABLE Jedi Robe.

The figure is similar to my last recipe, with much more improved sculpting to get the look and hair correct. His tunic was sculpted and he has belts from LOTR figures at his waist. It isn't visible in the pictures, but I got his right arm buckled glove sculpted right as well.

The big deal for me is the robe. I had to cut the sleeves out as I assume a seamstress cuts cloth, and then glued the edges together to create the 'sleeve'. I cut and shaped his hood--it's all cloth and removable as a separate piece. For the main robe, I cut the cloth to size, leaving holes to slip his arms through and then wiring the entire edge all the way across. This lets me sinch it up tight near the torso AND neck to get a snug fit and hang off hisshoulders without falling. I can insert the back of the hood under the neck areaand that locks the hood in place.

I used a double-sided fabric tape in tiny cut strips to attach the sleeves to the underside of the shoulder area. They are permanently attached and the robe slips on and off like a real person's would. I can flare the robe out like in a fight, or close it up in the 'wise-old-sage' look.

The lightsaber hilt is molded from Ave's and the blade is a removeable clear blue plastic craft dowel.

All this to make a poseable, realistic, 6-inch Jedi robe. LOL! I AM FitzJEDI after all. LOL!
