Custom #:5649
Name:Tatooine Patrol
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Star Wars
Creator:Hemble
Date Added:January 9, 2008
Base Figure:AT-ST and Sandtroopers
Height:3.34 inches
This diorama depicts a small Patrol coming across a destroyed droid next to a moisture vaparator, To the Troopers it looks that the droid has come across some Tusken Raiders trying to steal water, The Troopers have decided that the Tusken's have destroyed the droid so it couldn't identify them but in their haste to get away they have left a gaderffi stick and water hose behind. The head Trooper tells one ogf his men to go and find the ownerswhile he stays and keeps watch with a AT-ST as back up just in case Tuskens come back.

When I got the AT-ST from Hasbro I knew I had to make a dio with it in it, but I didn't want to do a Endor one as everyone seems to make them using smaller model kits. So with that inmind and as I'm on a Sandtrooper/Tatooine kick at the moment it was obvious that a Tatooine diorama was to be made.

With the AT-ST I really wanted to make this look really military, So I made the laser cannons a little bigger then they should be and gave the crewman a amoured vest and even put a laser rifle on top of the turret.

RECIPE

Sandtroopers - are from TAC Imperial troopers x 2 and the equipemnt are Saga Sandtrooper gear all from Hasbro

AT-ST - The POTF2 version and has been modified.

The Base - The base is from an old Telephone table and it has been built up using marine foam, sand, plaster of paris.

Protocol Droid - Is the Saga EP-VI C3PO.

Moisture Vaparator - Is from the TAC Luke Skywalker set.

Hemble, I love the dioramas you do. I particularly like the way you get everything a bit "grimy and gritty", no flash or polish, like it's in wartime conditions or something.
Keep these coming pal, they are excellent.
I look forward to your mandalorian special forces training camp, your Gammorean duelling pit and your Imperial shuttle deploying troopers!!!!
Sorry, did I just get carried away???

That's awesome! I gotta give you credit for continuing to make great Star Wars stuff. I love Star Wars and have lots of 3" figures, but I try not to think of them, because lets just say if I got too inspired I'd start making Star Wars customs, and I have enough on my plate already!
But I really enjoy your stuff. Don't know if you've read, and if so, like, the New Jedi Order series, it would be cool to see some customs from those books. Zekk's my favorite Star Wars character. I remember as a kid, how I thought he was so cool on the covers of the Young Jedi Knight books.
