This is the figure of Hui-thian Pian-hok (飛天蝙蝠 The Flying Bat) Kwa Tin-ok 何鎮悪, leader of the Kang-lam Cit-kuay (江南七怪 Seven Weirdos of Jiang-nan). I modelled this figure after the way the character was portrayed in the 1994 and 1982 TV series.

This figure was pretty easy to make. As the base figure, I used the Emperor figure from the Imperial Throne Room Battle Pack. I simply removed the hood and the cloak, used some Tamiya putty to sculpt his hair and headband, and to add the fringes of his inner cloak. I painted the inner robe white, and the fringes of the robe black.
After that, I added some details to his face. In the story, Kwa was blinded in a battle with the Hek-hong-siang-sat (The Killer Black Wind Couple) when he was young. Striking young Kwa with the poisonous Nine-Yin White Bone Claw, one of the Black Winds gouged out Kwa's eyes. I used a very small amount of putty to disfigure the eye-lids and latter painted repainted the whole face with the skin colour. Afterward, I added a bit of red paint on the eyes, making them look like raw meat. I thing I managed to make the eyes looked pathologic enough, as if the eyes were really gouged out from its sockets.

For his metal staff, I used Tamiya's clear plastic pipe, and used some putty to add some details before painting it black and silver.
I then put the cloak back, and I've got one cool Flying Bat figure.

Sadly, I do not have this figure anymore - it seems that I lost it when I moved to the US and then back again to Japan ...

I will try to remake him, along with the rest of the Seven Weirdos though!
