Hello fellow Realmers! I have been on a long hiatus since my last post, but the winter is here and I am working on inside projects again. This time around I am going to try and stick with the hobby more and be more active on the site. Along those lines I have also changed my alias (formerly HulkFTW) to something that I use for gaming and for my screen name in other places. So with that out of the way....

This is my second addition to my TMNT/Avengers crossover set. I took Leonardo and turned him into "Captain America: The First Turtle". Leo is definitely the best fit for Cap in my eyes. Hopefully the rest of the series turn out as good as this one. The only parts that I added to him were some belt pouches from a Punisher figure and some hands from a 2007 series "bike riding" Donatello, with speaker wire for the cuffs. The shield was made from a cast of Metalhead's shell and then I scultped the star to the middle. I combined different costume elements from the 616 version, Ultimate version, and the Bucky Barnes version to fit the look of the turtle. I used Aves for the mask, filling of the belt slot around the shell, and the boots. As far as the paint job goes (Testors Model Masters & Tamiya) I wanted the shield to resemble a painted man-hole cover and used the same idea for the star on his shell, like it was painted on there, since there's no need to cover the shell since it is like armor anyway. After it was all done, it was coated with Krylon UV-Resistant Clear Acrylic Coating for sealant. Thanks for looking and CC is always welcome!
