i wanted to create a predator as one might look if it hunted underwater, complete with breathing apparatus & water based trophies.

the NECA City Hunter w/rebreather provided the perfect base for this figure. i took the backpack from a McFarlane Major Maxim figure, glued it to his back and attached the pipes to the sides/back of the rebreather. i glued a NECA Wolf Predator backpack on top to make it look more predator-y.

instead of the usual strand of rodent skulls slung across the torso, i gave this one some (real) shells to drape across his person. the shell on his loincloth and the glaive weapon were nicked from a Ultima Online figure.

a head-to-toe repaint pretty much finished this guy off. not an overly complicated custom, but effective enough to make him stand out from the crowd! :-)

Good work man. Thanks for the compliments as well guys, I appreciate it. I can't wait to see the NECA Bad Blood and Enforcer Preds. I like to think I helped get them made.

I also made an Aquatic Predator a long time ago... check it out if you haven't seen him. Chose a Glaive for his weapon too, and made his skin blue also lol. Great minds think alike.

NECA's driving me to the poorhouse. Between Aliens, Predator and their upcoming Planet of the Apes lines I'll go broke. The Bad Blood is a must have. I read that a Bishop figure is in the works from the Aliens line. I've seen a statue of liberty arm being worked on for their Planet of the Apes line. I love and I hate Neca for what they're doing to my bank account.

NECA did say that series 12 would contain one or two "never before seen" characters in addition to Elder v2, so hey, y'never know! Between the Predator and the Alien lines (a Bishop, Queen and a Dog alien have been confirmed for future release) they're on to a real winning streak!

Probably my favourite Dark Horse Predator story is "Bad Blood"...it's pretty wild. Fellow realmer Cyclone_06 has a great custom of the "psycho" predator from that story if you want to check it out.
Once again..love what you did with this. You've inspired me to get a couple of my predator customs up on the realm.

Like the idea.....but what about making the backpack having more of a fin look to it? So he looks more shark like an ultimate "Predator". Then also some sore of swim fins? I'm thinking "Creature from the black Lagoon" sort of look.

I should've put a profile shot in, the segmemted backpack is as close to a sharks fin as I'd want it to go! and believe it or not, I did toy with the idea of giving him some sort of flipper type footwear at one stage. decided against it though...
