Hi everyone, I guess many were expecting or tought Shredder would be the first villian I create in the TMSFT line, but I like to do the unexpected and made Kran-Gat!!. Shredder alien brain boss from dimension X. :)
Krang is a hideous looking alien pink brain creature who gives orders to Shredder and his foot clan from his Technodrome. Krang usually ride inside and control his big android to transport him to places or fight. Sagat is a great Muay Thai ex champion who uses his height and strength to pummel his opponets. He is also under the control of M.Bison in his shadoloo empire.
I started off by using a Sota Sagat base. It was something I really didn't want to do because Sagat is a quality Street Fighter figure that is becoming rare and expensive as the years go by, but my vision kept leading me back to that base and Im committed in doing this TMSFT figure line. First I dremmel a hole in his mid-section so nickelodeon Krang could fit inside. Next I sculpted all the android parts using pictures as reference from vintage tmnt krang & was inspired by some of Loose Collector's Android design.The rest of the sculpting I improvised, like Sagat right eyepatch lens and how his human part of his chest scar continue on to the metal upper mid-section painted the scar to look rusted. The back tubings came from ML Professor X helmet. Kran-Gat also comes with open hands for more display options. Finally painted and detailed little nickelodeon krang and gave his android body a Silver,gold and red color scheme. Then his was finished.
