Little bit of a funny story about this one. I started working on him last year around May and had him pieced together and nearly finished even with most of the paintwork on him (the pink/purple highlights would have been the last step) and while waiting for the silver to properly dry I set him on one of my desks. As time went by various figures, random junk and papers collected on that desk to the point that I had completely forgot about him because he'd already been there for so long. Up until about a little more than a week ago, I decided to finally clean the desk because there was just too much crap on it. Low and behold I found the Krang that I'd forgotten about and thus began to get him finished up in one setting just to make sure that he wasn't going to become forgotten once more, lol.

At the time I thought using the Iron Monger was a pretty original idea, so after looking around I noticed someone else had used one for just that, so props to Scarecrow Studios for using the same base fig even though his and mine differ quite a bit.

Head: DCUC Manhunter (reworked with visor and horns)
Base(Mech Suit): Iron Monger (Center torn out and reworked the new Krang mech suit to fit inside & just fodder added to fill up some spaces)
Krang itself: Cut off the extra legs and repainted the eyes.
Krang Walker: A bunch of random fodder and vending machine "egg"

I wanted this Krang to be able to have elements from his original mech suit, that being the general size and walker. I also wanted some elements from the new show which is where the color scheme and remove-able Krang head came from. I went with a more "clean" approach on the paint scheme which I think really makes the highlighted sections pop.

And if there's something to be learned from this project it's simply this:
Don't place nearly finished projects in areas that are likely to get cluttered up and then forgotten about, lol.
