This was another tough one but an invaluable learning experience. As always I wanted challenge myself and in this case, I tried 3 new techniques/crafts while creating this figure!
The first was sculpting hair...tiny, tiny strands of hair. Thanks to Phoenix Force Creations with his tutorial on his Facebook page and a whole lot of trial and error I was able to create a flexible doo that does not restrict her head movement.
Second was the cape. I know most people are not fans of soft goods on their figures but if you look at Spawnsauce's work you might change your mind. He as well as a excellent tutorial from Miked (not sure if he's still customizing) helped inspire this cape creation. I was able to sandwich in a tiny wire around the edge of the cape so not only does it allow for an excellent range of motion but it is fully pose-able and flight stand ready. Another plus is it doesn't weight the figure down so she can, get this, actually stand up, on her own!
And lastly was paint. As with most comic art her design fluctuates wildly from artist to artist. Sometimes her costume is white, sometimes grey, sometimes silver. So I went with a Tamiya Spray Pearl white. It gives her that classic look but with a little extra sheen. After about 10 coats (painting white is really, really hard to get right) I got her to a level I'm happy with.

Recipe is as follows:

Head - Storm with fully sculpted hair and teeny, tiny earrings
Torso and arms - Storm with belt, upper arms, chest and other details sculpted
Shoulder Pads - scratch built and attached to the torso so allow for a greater range of motion
Hands - Scarlet Witch
Legs, Scarlet Witch
Cape - Scratch built and pose-able

As always questions and comments are welcome. Thanks for looking!

I can always appreciate fine attention to detail and that is very apparent here. Amazing job on the hair and I like what you did with the cape. Check out my custom Rachel Grey where I did something similar. Really does add a dynamic effect for different poses. Nice job all around!

Totally agree with using the flexible cape that's poseable with wire. Spawnsauce's use of it is amazing and you definitely did Storm justice here, great job!

Excellent. One piece of advice(if it works?) is to use a dagger base. It's already white, and would require, possibly, less coats.

Yeah I thought about that about halfway through the paint job. This was a commission so I used the parts provided. I actually like the old female upper bodies as they have a bit more curves, especially for someone like Storm. If I ever made one for myself I'd definitely use Dagger's legs and S. Witch feet though.
