The DC Direct Infinite Crisis series Power Girl figure is a nice sculpt. Its articulation isn't very impressive, though. And, although it is a nice sculpt from head to toe, I don't like the style of the lower body. So, I attempted to make a Power Girl that looks and has articulation more like I want it to using various figures.

Here's a look at some of the steps it took to rebuild, modify and sculpt the customized Power Girl action figure.

I used a Masters of the Universe Classics Adora figure for the lower body and arms. The Adora figure is technically in a different scale than the Power Girl figure, but I think it at least sort of works, and her legs look well in proportion to the DC Direct Power Girl. In order to use the DC Direct figure torso on the Adora figure, the DC Direct figure has to be modified using a Dremel tool to reshape it into something similar to the Marvel Legends Black Cat figure torso that I use to compare it to in the pictures. When the parts are combined, it does make the customized figure a little taller than the DC Direct Power Girl, but it's not very noticeable when the figure is posed. Gluing the pegs neccessary to use the Power Girl gloves on the Adora arms was a chore. After all of that stuff, the figure was completely repainted using paints and techniques that help ensure the paint stays as durable as possible.
