Hey all. This is my Marvel Legends scale Dormammu. This figure took me quite a while to complete. There were some setbacks, as this is my first custom, but I gained a lot of experience along the way and look forward to applying what I've learned toward my next custom. This is Dormammu's Marvel vs Capcom 3 Fate of Two Worlds costume rendition. Most of the armor was hand detailed and designed. The head is a completely unique sculpt, and the flame effects were created with hot glue and transparent water colors. Many of the Dormammu creators on the site will probably recognize my username, as I polled a lot of them to get advice on using the hot glue. I still wasn't 100% happy with the final outcome, but I'll keep working on it in the meantime. It is a fun medium to use, but takes a lot of practice. I have a lot of respect for the character and didn't want to cheap out with lackluster detail or shortcuts. In preparation for listing this guy, I decided to do up a Mindless One to throw in with him. He took two days, as I had to wait for paint and wash to dry and then dry brush him a bit. I wanted to keep his articulation, so I had to sculpt around his joints. His base was a small Hulk figure. As a result, some of the edges are uneven. I did my best to smooth them out. I think next time around I will probably just sculpt over the entire joint and then maybe exacto around the joint as best I can to make smoother lines. I decided to make a pentagram base for him, since I was still practicing with the hot glue, and made a couple fireballs, playing with some different color combinations. All-in-all, I think he turned out well as a first attempt. I will continue to refine the design as I go forward. I definitely welcome any feedback. Thanks for looking.
