Being as I have more of a chance of stepping on an Elephant outside my front door than getting one of the released Scarlet Spideys I thought I'd make my own and my 2nd foray outside of the world of X-Men. I never really liked the cloth hoodie that the released one had so I decided to sculpt him one instead. I'm really happy with how the folds and hood came out and they detailed great with a dry brush or four. The forearms are from a random Spidey as is the head. The belt is a F.O. Punisher one and the wrist blasters from the ML Black Widow. The ankle pouches are Bullseye belt sections with elastic bands. Hope he's accurate enough for the Spidey fans out there.
I use apoxie sculpt bought from a website - you can get 1lb of the stuff for about £16 and since I started customising 13month ago I've only got through 1 1/2 lb bargain!
Cheers - I was sick of seeing him go for $50+ and pretty chuffed with the outcome. For the eyes I just painted them white all over and used a cocktail stick to draw out the points
Well done... I'm about to try my hand at this character myself due to the EXACT same reason. Although I do not appear to have the same level of painting skills *sniffle* the eyes are so spot on
