My good friend's boys are growing up and they were going to throw out a bunch of toys, but called me first and I snatched them up. Mostly a bunch of junk, but there were a few good fodder pieces like some PotC figures. I had an old beat up headless MotUC buck sitting here and decided to do Jack Sparrow in MotUC style. I had to sand down the torso quite a bit and open up the arm holes to get the jacket to fit, dremelled the upper thighs to get the skirt to fit, cobbled it all back together and sculpted a beard more fitting for a Master of the Universe, added some machetes from a hostel figure (thanks Ole Jade Jaw), and the belt and sword from an Assassin's Creed figure. Many coats of drybrushing and several washes later, this is the end result.
Thanks for the comments guys. I just realized this was my 350th figure. It does not seem like it's been five years since I was working on my first figure, Toad, to round out my Brotherhood. Thank you guys for making this so much fun and for inspiring me to keep going and improving.
I don't even like those films or character but could see myself adding this to a MotUC collection (if only I could actually afford such things). Really nice work and very distinctive look.
