Here is a Krang for the TMNT Classics line, 100% from scratch! I even made his joints, all 17 of them, from apoxie sculpt. He is made from sculpey and apoxie sculpt, with a bit of extra plastic and screws for his screen door. I posed him with the neca figures and a custom Shredder so that you can see how the scale works. Also, his android head, his arms and hands, and the actual Krang brain are all removable. I wish I had more space for pictures so that I could show you all the details! I have a flickr album called krang which shows everything, but I can't link to it, evidently.
Thanks so much for the feedback guys! I really appreciate it. I worked on Krang for about 3 weeks on and off, and I was thinking that he would probably be my best custom yet, and the realm agrees!! I'm going to post the whole album of wip and completed pictures on deviant art, so if you'd like to see more of this guy just search for squarepupilsherald there. It's on flickr too but it is hard to find. There's so much detail that you can only see a glimpse of it here!
Thanks for the compliment, and yeah lol, I used about 10 pounds of sculpey on this guy. That's why even though he can stand on his own, I'm holding him in the pictures.
At first I saw this and thought awesome but then I read the description and how you made him from scratch and thought, AAAAWSOME!!! Amazing work, your really nailed the head sculpt on him and the krang and their are so many cool details packed into him it makes my head spin!
Thanks so much! I've been sculpting for a long time, and I think I do my best work when I just sculpt everything. In this case, I thought that there was just no base body that was even close to what I wanted, so why not do the whole thing? Also, there is a customizer named discogod that did an awesome krang, and I based my headsculpt off both his and the cartoon. Although mine is removable so I may also make an angry head based off the original figure. I want to do an articulated Ridley, (from Metroid) next!
