I started with an Eclipso body and replaced the top of his head with Medphyll's from the Green Lantern Classics. I hit the figure with a black base coat and went over it with brown to try to give him a woody look. The mossy stuff is something I found at Michaels craft store. It is typically used for model train type dioramas, I think.
