Presenting Her Royal Highness, the Mermaid Princess Orla (her name means golden princess)of the Cyprinidae Family (she is a goldfish mermaid)
I found these cheap, badly painted but with a decent-ish sculpt, "My Pretty Mermaid Princess" figures that came in a variety of garish neon colours and also came with an ugly dolphin or other sea animal pet (which got added to the fodder box).
I brought one thinking that maybe with a simple paint job, I could possibly turn her into something half decent, or at the very least end up using her for parts, and now I wish I had brought a couple more as mermaid figures are pretty hard to come across. She is made of a pretty sturdy plastic, and whilst I wish she had some articulation at the waist, she isn't too bad as cheap figures go.
It is amazing what a simple repaint can do to a figure. I painted her with a mix of acrylics and glued on some craft gems and now she is a proper Mermaid Princess.
