I like it ! And I agree with you : in his comic book's history, Nick Fury fought during WW2 and he's still operative in 90's. He can drive a platoon of colonial space marines against an Alien's threat (time travel, hibernation). I love this crossover idea "SHIELD vs Alien".
Simple but effective.
