So I went with a Hyperion base on this one primarily because I wanted to use the head and the Marvel Select cape, but they are both too big for the smaller figures. Also because I wanted a big imposing bad ass looking Magneto. I did a black base coat and dry brushed on the red so his definition would really stand out. Used ML Magneto forearms and than used rubber band for his boots. I'm more of a fan of a smaller, less ripped version of Mags but this one came out really good anyway. I also wanted to experiment with ProCreate for his 'mane of manliness', as a fellow customizer would say. This stuff is just great for hair and it cures to a somewhat flexible consistancy with the right mixture of parts. I highly recommend you try it out! The main focus after that was getting a super detailed paint job on the face. I've been using an artist's pen for the eye outlines and its really made the eyes much easier to do. I feel getting the eyes to look right can really make or break a great custom so I make it a priority and I probably spend the most time on them. Anyway I hope you guys like it. This guy's been done to death I know but I wanted my own for my Jim Lee style X-Men collection! BTW, just got a new camera Nikon camera so it was a somewhat long photo shoot but I hope you guys like the shots as well. ![]() |

Perfect job!
P.S.: Magneto can never be done "to death". The more the merrier, I say.
