I am on a path to complete a set of JLA Silver Age villains. Next up is the Key. I liked Mercury for his slim build and facial expression. I knew I had to trim the nose and chin. I did feel as though he may be too tall a buck for the Key. I took 1/4 inch off at the shins and sculpted the boot cuffs over the seam. I used a cardboard template around the head and sculpted over it with Aves. I sculpted the collar, gloves, and trim on the lower part of his tunic. The keyhole belt was also sculpted. Painted with acrylics.

I wanted him to have his key-gun, so I made an armature out of cardstock, wire, and duct tape. I sculpted over the top and painted with a metallic bronze.
