For a Star Wars fan who was never really into clones, I always really liked the look of Comm. Cody and since hasbro's version is too expensive and a bit underwhelming, I just decided to make my own. I was lucky enough to actually have a spare set of arms from the super articulated legacy collection Cody, and the base figure is relatively inexpensive and easy to get a hold of, so all I really had to to was get the helmet and jet pack. The paint job was very important for this one. While the recipe is common, too many people's custom of this character either come out really clean or with weathering that is overdone, so I tried to avoid both by using subtle washes, paint marks that are sanded or flecked off, and actual score marks/indentations in the plastic. the only hard part was getting the shoulder pegs to fit into the torso. They require careful trimming. Thanks for checking it out. Head/helmet, jetpack: saga Cody Shoulders: Legacy collection Cody Torso, legs, forearms: black series Clone pilot ![]() |
