Morning Realmers. Today for your viewing pleasure I present Red Hood, v2. I did one a few years back and have been itching to make another one. I went with his look from the comic, with a few artistic choices along the way. While I love his look from Under the Red Hood, I wanted to stick with the black leather jacket and blue jeans and go from there. Not to mention, there are plenty of great customs on here already that took a cue from the movie so I wanted mine to be a little different. Not a fan of the 52 look, so didn't want to go that route either.
He had to have swappable heads. Taking a cue from Anthony's customs and Mint Condition, I used Terry McGinnis as the alternate Jason Todd head. I added a bang on the left side to closer resemble the spit curls he used to wear as Robin. Sculpted the mask, which wasn't very easy but turned out alright in my opinion. I used Atom's head, since I saw AFFC used it with great success on several of his RH customs. Painted it silver with a coat of clear red over it to give it the metallic look.
As for the body, Mr. Terrific upper on a Jonah Hex lower. Lots of modification to Terrific's interior to accommodate JH's lower half. Demelled off the details of Jonah's boots as I wanted them to look biker-esque, much easier than splicing on an alternate pair of boots. Used some feet from Flash and added the silver details. I also gave him a utility belt figuring, with as much ammo as he goes thru, he's gotta have something more than just the pockets of his jacket to store all of it. Added some holsters for his twin pistols and a knife in back for good measure. Again, Anthony's customs was the inspiration for those add ons. No articulation was hindered in the hip region. Added a seam down the front of his shirt and that was that. Cut the hands so he'd have trigger fingers as well.
