For me, BBC's contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes is the best version in years of the character. I expected for a while to see the Character toy company produce at least a 3 figure line. I wanted to see if I could get close to what I imagine they would produce.
I began with a 10th Doctor figure. I resculpted his shirt, replaced his coat with the Master's coat, and painted his wardrobe all black. Next I looked at as many reference photos of Benedict Cumberbatch and sculpted a new head out of super sculpey firm. I did my best to match the sculpting style and paint applications commonly seen from the Character company.
