This is a repair job I thought I'd share, not much work but needed doing as the crotch piece on this one was completely shattered. Had to totally rebuild it and whilst I was there I tightened up the hip joints. Anyone who has owned the SOTA Blanka figure will know how impossible it can be to get Blanka to stand straight and you could pretty much forget about one legged poses.

So Yeah, pretty much just a rebuild of the crotch using Aves fixit. Also had to sculpt the hairs on right leg as well as adding the missing bracket off his left anklet. I couldn't figure a way to make the repair translucent so I decided to paint certain bits in solid colours. The shorts, hair and anklets were all painted solid using citadel paints. I think it gives him a look of charging up his electric attack, also gives him a little more presence in a display. Thanks for taking a glance, till next time.........

So you resculpted the crotch? If only I had such an ability... I have a similar dilemma with a custom I'm starting to work on.

yeah, it's not an easy task but possible, just try to save as much of the base as you can and sculpt over the gaps. The joint holes can be pretty tricky, it's best to sculpt it too big and sand it down to size. Also make sure you cover a large area to give the sculpt more chance of staying put.

One way you could try for the translucent look is to make molds of the pieces in question, and then cast them in clear resin. For color you can either use dye to color the resin while mixing it, or you can paint clear acryl paints made by Testors. I think your solution is great though, it makes for great contrast.

Thanks for the advice but moulding and casting is beyond my means at the moment, I always think about getting into it but then something comes up and funds are short. I like the contrast too
