While I can't say I am the first to have come up with this custom, technically I thought I was until I was browsing the internet and found someone else made one first. Dang it.
Anyway started with a Mark Henry base, gave him a hair cut and ground away some of the details of the singlet and beard. Used rubber bands for the knee pad edges. Green Stuff for the wrist sweat bands, leg pads, buckle, hair and ears. The football/mace is a mash up of fodder, repair putty and Green Stuff.
