So after the Disney contest on here, I was inspired to create more characters from Disney films each with my own twist on their classic look and story. Then I got thinking of stories that would end up linking the characters to each other and then this whole story arch came into my head that incorporate my previous Elsa, Jasmine and Hook figures plus future up and coming custom figures. Presenting my take on Prince Eric from Disney's The Little Mermaid. Growing up in the coastal Kingdom of Maritime, learning nautical skills was second nature to the young Prince Eric. Now an expert helmsman, skilled navigator and more than capable of wielding a sword, Eric is far happier sailing the 7 seas than attending the Royal Court. Captain of his own ship, “The H. C. Anderson”, Eric deals with the trade routes between neighboring Kingdoms, from Arendelle to Agrabah, Corona to DunBroch and beyond. Eric transports and trades in gold and spices, ice and furs, silks and weaponry. One fateful day, Eric and his crew are given an extremely precious cargo with the mission to see it that reaches its destination quickly and securely. The cargo, a large priceless sky blue diamond mined by the Dwarves in the Far Away Mountains. Born from a fallen wishing star, it contains an ancient and powerful magic, the essence of the Blue Fairy. In the wrong hands its power could be used for unleashing great evil and destruction. The Sorcerer Yensid who dwells in a Castle in the mountains decreed the magic was too unstable and that the diamond is to be transported to a remote place of great safety and fortitude. The diamond was placed in a spell enchanted chest, that could only be opened by a key that has the counter spell attached to it, and entrusted to Prince Eric and his crew who were to transport the diamond to the far northern kingdom of Arendelle. Once there it was to be secured deep in the ice vaults, where only those impervious to the ice cold dare to go, and there it was to remain, guarded by the Queen of Arendelle's formidable Ice Guards. And so Eric and his crew set off on route to Arendelle, a journey made many times before, however things didn't go according to plan. “The H. C. Anderson” came under savage attack from above. “The Jolly Roger” to the shock of Eric and his crew, descended from the clouds glittering with stolen fairy dust, the fierce Captain Hook at the helm. Blasted with canon fire, “The H. C. Anderson” although equipped with canons, was not a battleship. Unprepared for the attack they returned fire under Eric’s command as best they could. Pirates on ropes slid down onto deck from overhead, drew swords and fought against Eric and his crew. The Prince defended the precious cargo bravely, clashing swords and slaying many pirates until he faced Captain Hook himself. The two locked blades back and forth until, over powered, Eric was dealt a hard blow to the head from Hook’s solid iron hook that sent him sprawling onto the deck. Taking the chest under his arm, Hook grabbed a rope and was hauled aboard his own ship laughing triumphantly. In a last ditch attempt at getting the chest back Eric drew his flintlock and prepared to fire, but at that moment long, thick black and purple blubbery tentacles erupted from the water ripping huge holes in the hull. “The H. C. Anderson” was rent asunder and dragged in splintered pieces into the deep. Adrift in the wreckage, Eric slipped in and out of consciousness. He was found by his servant Grimsby, washed ashore in his own kingdom miraculously alive. Eric said he owed his life to the mysterious flame haired beauty that had rescued him from the sea and sung to him with the most beautiful voice. Grimsby said he had swallowed far too much seawater and that he was in a state of shock. What they really needed to know is what had happened to him, the crew and the diamond. Sadly Eric said that he had failed in his task and told of the surprise attack. However Eric said he still had the key to the chest, which he had worn around his neck on a golden chain for safe keeping, hidden in the folds of his shirt. Reaching into his shirt he discovered that the key too was gone, it must have fallen off when he was adrift and been claimed by the sea. Eric vowed he would retrieve the key somehow and claim the diamond back from the clutches of Hook, but he would need some help from an old friend of his, someone who works out side of the law, an elusive thief in Agrabah.
