When I was a kid I loved the Viva Knievel movie. The sound of those bikes, the outfits the stunts and of course the strato cycle!! I always wanted to have my own Evel Toyset but being born in the 80s I missed the Ideal toy line from the 70s. So I thought I should make my own. I actually made these in 2009/2010 but decide to dust them off to see if anyone else shared my joy/obsession.
I purchased the items from Toys r us and took bits and pieces off the bikes to lower them - they were originally trail bikes. I then gave the figures a repaint and managed to print off some decals using photoshop which I used for the truck, the bikes and Evel himself. I may revisit them as they are needing freshened up.
Anyway hope you like them or make you a bit nostalgic like me :)
