Grouch-O
Heroic Master of Garbage

He may seem grouchy even on a sunny day when everything’s A-OK, but Oscar is actually a good guy. He’s an ally of He-Man and all other good Eternians in the battle against the evil forces of Skeletor. He was nicknamed Grouch-O by Fisto and Roboto when they formed a trio.

Grouch-O’s trashcan is an indestructible body armor. The lid can be used as either a shield or throwing disc weapon, but only when he’s not using it as a helmet. The trashcan also stores all kinds of trash that he has collected. Whether it’s pieces of a broken sword, old shoes or wilted flowers, he keeps them all in there.

Grouch-O has frequent conversations with the Sorceress of Grayskull who enjoys visiting the green garbage can dweller at the street corner where he usually stays. Whenever she drops by he likes to surprise her with gifts that he finds from the trash items in his can. He always greets her with a "Hey there you sexy Big Bird! Hehehe."

Recipe:
This custom was brought to you by the letters M and M which stand for Moss Man. It’s a Moss Man figure with a repainted head from an Oscar the Grouch figure. His broken sword is a repainted broken blade from Count Marzo. The trashcan and lid are from wrestling figure accessories.

This one’s for all who grew up watching Sesame Street and Masters of the Universe.

Thanks for checking out this entry for the Too Cool for Preschool custom contest.

***Update***
Your votes helped Grouch-O to be one of the contest winners! Thanks again to everyone for voting, and special thanks to fellow realmer NeCrollector for creating the custom of Ker-Mit the Heroic Musician, which inspired me to also create a Sesame Street character in the Masters of the Universe style.

I was a HUGE fanatic of Seseame Street growing up and to see Oscar the Grouch here just brought a tear to my eye! Just curious, who else would think would think Oscar would make the best kick ass Villain to take over the world and his arch nemesis being Big Bird?!?!?! Either way, your custom figure took me way WAY back into my childhood and brought back some of the fondest memories I've ever had! Getting in touch with my childhood is what brought me back to collecting, creating & customizing figures (even though just starting, literally) for this true madly scientist type back to his childhood of action figures! Were it not for Marvel & DC, the Greatest American Hero, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. that got me into the geek/nerd of a scientist that I am! Thank you for an AWESOME custom and the GREATEST memories along with it!

Your welcome! And thank you UFGator Alumni for your fantastic comments! If comics and science fiction made you a geek/nerd early in life then I think I know where you studied to become a scientist later in life (by your username). Welcome to the world of action figure customizing where any from of nostalgia is encouraged and loved by us all, especially Sesame Street characters in the world of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Hope you watched MOTU while growing up too, if not watch it now on DVD and be a kid all over again.

Kind of like a hybrid of Captain America, a hairy Hulk and Iron Man. Love it! Well done again, my friend.

Thank you panchopantera. I never thought of him being like a Hulk and Iron Man too, but you're right. I did think he was similar to Captain America..."All those who chose to oppose this Grouch's shield must yield"
