"Maelstrom started life as a man, a man who had the misfortune of faling into the Doctor's debt. The Doctor had been experimenting with the effects of ancient relics on human beings and Maelstrom became one such experiment. He had a relic grafted to his body which killed him in the process, however this particular relic was in fact a prison for a very old demon and it took the body for it's own. The demon has very powerful psychic powers, powers which can barely be housed in such a weak mortal form and have began to ravage the vessel. The Doctor attempted to contain this monster he had created but he failed and now it is free. While he is no ally of the Doctor, he is effectively a re-animated corpse and has therefore become a target for the Reaper but this particular quarry isn't going to come without a fight."

Up next in my line of original characters is Maelstrom. This custom began as a ML zombie, I removed the hair, jacket and sanded away the clothing parts on the arms and legs. I carved the mouth to make it more open. the 'Relic' is just a piece of milliput and the wires connecting it with the body are electrical wires. His shackles are made of craft foam and the chain is from a jewellery necklace. I cut a piece of cloth for his skirt thing and painted on all the stains and added tears and holes to give it a bit more realism. Painted in citidel paints.
