My favorite TV show of all time is Quantum Leap. So with my love for that show and my love for the 4.5" Playmates action figures, I thought it'd be cool to have Sam and Al as figures, too.

Admiral Al Calavicci was made from a heavily modified Playmates Picard figure. I sanded the shoulders, re-sculpted the jacket collar, shirt and a tie with apoxie. The head is a Riker-head. I re-sculpted pretty much everything except the eyes and nose.

For the jacket, one of Al's coolest outfits on the show, I mixed a dark green with a silver metallic color.

Of course he needed the Ziggy-handlink and a cigar. The cigar was sculpted with apoxie, the handlink was made from a small piece of styrofoam.
