I've been wanting to finish TNBA Talia that I started awhile back. I had a pretty good idea for her finally. I used a Black Siren figure & it was kind of odd, instead of having the head that I boil & pull out the peg like most of the female JLU figures, she had a ball joint. I decided this could work if I just drilled a hole in the TNBA Talia head & popped it on. I also realize I really hate the mattel female buck with the stupid kicked out leg. I really didn't want to use a Wonder Woman because I was being lazy & didn't want to sculpt over all the details. I decided to heat up the legs on the crappy female buck & make them in a more suitable position.

Minor sculpt work, a C1 Gun Holster reshaped to look more cartoon accurate, paint, & she's done.

Oh right, the staff from the episode. I've been getting a lot into making accessories lately. Red Hood had removable knives & swappable heads, Mad Bomber had a Btaman figure & one of the cars, etc.... So I figured Talia needed the life sucking staff that she used in the episode " The Demon Reborn " This is actually what made me want to make the figure so bad, the staff.

At first I started sculpting this thing completely from scratch. I used wire and sculpted over it with apoxie. As I was sanding it, I completely ruined it by cracking it. So first attempt didn't work out too well.

I was going to try & fix it. But after some consideration, I thought it would be a waste of time since this was a bad concept to begin with. So I had to think this through a little because I really wanted to make this thing. So why not use a dowel rod as the staff, still use the wire base for the rest, but sculpt over it with the green because it's more flexible. That worked out perfectly.
