Wanted a Neca Robocop, but I was a little late to the party and so the regular, and spring holster Robocop were all 40 - 60 bucks, then I noticed that the glow in the Dark Robocop was only 17, so I picked one up and got to painting, laid down a base coat of black, followed by a coat of Gunmetal, then a Chrome Silver drybrush to bring out all the detail's, used Tamiya acrylics. I'm not too happy with how the face came out, so I may have to revisit it once my detail painting gets better.

Also did a light Gunmetal dry brush on his gun to bring out the details and give it more of a Metallic looking texture.

I would have never guessed that was the glow in the dark one! Your repaint looks better than the real thing!

And Battle Damaged. :P I have them all (and the ED-209) They're my main figure collection. Still waiting on my R3 flightpack figure though. Us folks in the UK don't get things as easily as you do though I did get the spring loaded holster figure for only £22 last december which wasn't bad. Took me a while to find cos almost all the online retailers were sold out. Anyways again great custom. Always like seeing different attempts at classic Robo.

Thanks, at the time I did this piece the Robocop 3 figure hadn't come out yet, the only robocop figures on the market were the 1st, spring loaded holster, videogame, and Glow in the dark, with the glow in the dark figure being the only one you could find for under 20.

That's very cool. Though they have just released the (detachable) flightpack Robo which also includes the spring-loaded holster. Not sure how much it costs in the US but here in UK it's about £25. It might be a bit blue for you anyways. This is a very nice repaint of the Night Fighter version.
