My Next custom Transformer is a people's favorite: Lockdown! The original toy comes in a weird coffee ish color completely different than what we saw in the movie. (I can imagine an executive saying: "black Lambo? noo way! let's brighten it up for the kids!") He was then painted in flat black, every nook , spring, bolt etc. individually detailed, the Lambo lights colored in 3 different shades of blue to give the effect that they are on, same as with the tail lights, gave him a chest and face scar, and tiny paint scuffs on the edges for that "not so pristine" look. He is now ready to hunt any bot for the right price..."The cause will always betray you" Thanks for checking!
As with most of the proper AoE toys, lovely sculpts but clearly need better paintjobs. To be fair on Hasbro most of it due to having to keep costs down and quality paint work is often wasted on the kids (the ones who bash the toys about anyways) but hey it gives us custom folk nice projects to work on. This looks fantastic. I loved the movie and felt Lockdown was a very imposing and threatening character and the extra paintjob on here really helps bring more of that character to his toy. Nice work.
