Grune was created using Lion-O for the body and Tygra for the head.
I chopped off the hair and sculpted an new face on top of Tygra's. I then sculpted the hair and added the details to the helmet. The body was completely desmantled and sculpted to Grune's outfit. The shoulder pads were made by taking an impression from the ones on the original LJN version of Grune. They are made of apoxie and held in place with a pin. The pin slides into a hole in the shoulder joint, so the arm can move beneath the pad, and articulation is less hindered. The club was created from scratch using apoxie and styrene.
High res pictures as well as WIP shots can be seen on the ThundercatsLair forums, in the customs section.
I don't know how you do it because I really wasn't a fan of those thundercats bandai figure, but what you been doing with these thundercats customs is phenomenal work bro..
also loving your line of Thundercats custom....the way you continue these classic characters it's so amazing.....and I'm a big 80s fan....these are all my cartoons from my era kicking butt on the big screen, or updated cartoons.brother I can't wait for what's next........
You're one of my fave customisers on here. The way you're using just those Lion-O and Tygra figures to create many of the other characters is amazing (I guess it's quite limited to the big male characters, would be tricky to do Cheetara, or the kittens or Snarf hehe). Very keen on seeing what's next.
