Hello my friends , lately I have done a lot of kit bash customs (hey that's my main expertise!) with little or no painting at all on them , and that not good for honing my skills , so I decided that my next custom was going to be a complete re-paint as a challenge to myself and having bought an extra DCU Hawkman (it was cheap and had the BAF piece I needed to complete Stripe!) , so rather than use him for parts I opted to make him my version of the New 52 Earth 2 Hawkman (I had seen the New 52 version of him , Hawkwoman and recently the Earth 2 Hawkgirl , but not her Earth 2 partner) , so trying to follow her design and color scheme did my best to come up with a logical and somewhat cool costume for him in acrylic blue and gray witch I though look better than black and to further math them and make him a bit more unique and interesting , I made him a latin brother (Hector Hall maybe , hey we need a lot more ethnic super heroes and for Hawkman it would definitely work and make more sense if ask me!) , hope you like this new version and tell me what you think , Thanks!
Not familiar with the character but this looks really cool, I especially like the paintjob I have to ask though, you make so many awesome customs, how can you possibly have room to display them all?
Thank you! , one of the reasons I made him was because he hasn't been introduce "yet" into the New 52 (Earth 2) line up just Hawkgirl and I feel they should always be paired , so I did my best to gave her a cool rendition of him based on her design and colors . one of these days I have to upload a photo of my rooms (yes plural) , my bedroom is FULL wall to wall (and even the floor!) and I had to close an open terrace in my house to make an extra room for both my customs and my even bigger collection (how many? God knows , I lost count years ago!) it's a constant struggle for space , but I LOVE IT!!
Que tal Hermano como estas! , I really like how cool and different DC made the Earth 2 Hawkgirl and having and extra Hawkman it inspired me to do this "free" version of him and as one us a "latino" , and why not! , who knows maybe Dc would like this and make him an Hermano after all , one can dream right , Gracias for the kind words Bro as always they are truly appreciated!!
Actually he doesn't , the New 52 version looks like his traditional style only more armored and feral , mine was a free version of the Earth 2 (alternate world) of him , so far only Hawkgirl has been introduced , so I kinda based mine on her style , I really do not know what he officially would look like , Thanks for checking him out Ric!
