I've been a big fan of Bug since the Micronauts popped up in the 90s in an X-Men crossover. He stood out as a fun character and I was really happy to see him included in Starlord's original Guardian's team and in the second iteration of the team.

When I saw the SDCC Starlord figure I knew I was going to have to track down a second one to make my favourite member of the team. Putting him together was fairly easy. I used various Wolverine claws for his antenna and for the little doodads that stick out of his arms and legs. I wanted to do a removable helmet but ended up just using a Judge Dredd head cast with the helmet still attached.

I used styrene to add detail to the helmet and sculpted the eyes and some other elements using Apoxie Sculpt. I gave the helmet a metallic green paint job (and the eyes metallic red) to make it pop. I left the staff silver rather than painting it green as it is sometimes coloured in the books.

Overall I am really proud of how he turned out.
