Beast isn't one of my favorite characters by any stretch of the imagination. However, I did have some interest in his Dark Beast variation. Mostly due to my interest in evil incarnations of characters. But never enough interest to make a rendition of him until I saw this image a few months ago. Then, I forgot about it. But, coming up on the end of the month, I wanted to finish a few projects I found more interesting. The body itself wasn't too much trouble. I love how drybrushing looks in the end, but it can definitely be tedious at times. I added some sculpt to the upper legs, small strip for the top of the pants, and then added the fur patches. Swapped out the lower legs for Omega Red and arms for Ares. Painted the pants with a gunmetal, then added a clear blue to it. Added black lines to finish them off, but they don't show up too well in the images. For his skin tone I used a dark grey with light grey over it. Then, we got to the head. Started with the Wolverine Origins Comic Series Sabretooth. Cut off his hair, then added the strands from Elektra on either side of his face. The hair came from Skaar. Those Sabretooth heads are getting difficult to acquire, but I thought it had the proper evil look for him. Quite happy with how he came out, I just wish the pants looked better in the images.
