I first replaced the cape with a larger cut allowing enough cape to come up front and drop from the emblem.

Emblem was fastened to the chest armor to stay in place when the head is moved. Now you get the nice iconic "Bat-lean". The neck has been notched for additional mobility of the head.

How did you put a notch in the neck?

I removed the head and cowl from its ball joint and drilled holes in the front & back of the neck. I then used an Xacto to make those holes "U" shaped. Now the head can rock backwards & forwards. Don't make it too loose though. Then it won't hold.
