Hello my friends , originally I was going to re-paint this Mattel DCU hawk as his nemesis Kestrel (same design only in grey and purple) but as I was going organizing my fodder box I found some old Armored Power Ranger figures and the Kit-basher in me kick in ideas almost instantly , so for fun I tried some of the Red Ranger parts on the Hawk and they fitted beautifully (some minus adjustment needed) even the colors play well with each other , the two tone reds add more depth to figure , some glue and done , and manage to retain full articulation (shoulder pieces are attached to the wing , not the figure for full arm movement , I know he's just a simple custom , but sometimes that's just what we need to do to keep it fun and kill some time between big projects and new parts to arrive , plus originals (and their stories!) can drain me creatively for a while , so I'm taking a short break , well I hope you like him (my little nephew sure did , it'll be lucky if it survives the night! , but I got plenty of glue to fix it (just in case) , but what the hey , his smile when he saw it was priceless (besides he's my sole heir to this empire I am creating , so in a way , they are all his , eventually!) , well Thanks and later guys!
