I took a roll of black mesh material (florist isle @ Wal-Mart). The weave is stable but not really bound to itself so you can move the threads around a little bit. While I was messing with it I was trying to figure out how to make a hem to close off the edges of the piece I was cutting out. The outsides of the material have tighter weaves made up of several fibers as opposed to the single 90 degree mesh design. SO I took to mimicking that as I kinda figured out the size of net I wanted then I started bunching the mesh from outside that area inward. Eventually I had a pretty tight hem on all 4 sides. Once trimmed I sealed it by waving a lighter under it until the edges "twinkle" and cool into a weld. I drew up the 4 corners on black waxed thread and made a shoulder sling so Chewy can carry C-3PO through the Bespin hallways.
