I know mattel made a JLU Sinestro. But there are many good reasons why I made this version. First of all, mattel's was designed more from JLU & not STAS. I've never been a fan of that odd medium buck. Which is exactly what mattel used for their JLU Sinestro. I've always hated that mattel painted on details instead of sculpting things. I understand they were being cheap & maximizing their profits. But I'm still used to the old Kenner way where each villian had a unique sculpt.

So with that being said, I picked up a lot of JLU figures. Many were unfinished customs, missing parts, or partially painted. So there was a medium male buck that didn't have a head & was painted multiple colors. As soon as I saw that, I thought to myself I'm going to use that for a Sinestro custom. I mean I have a bunch of Sinestro heads laying around from those SDCC 3 packs. So I sculpted the boots, belt, arm bands, & ring. Thne I put the Sinestro head on. The rest was all paint work.
