Aoa Storm (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:69746
Name:Aoa Storm
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Marvel Legends
Creator:verdigris
Date Added:January 22, 2015
Base Figure:HML Storm
Height:6.00 inches
I knew I wanted to do a Storm with long hair and her tiara thing using the new body and head sculpt as a base, but once I'd made the head I had no idea which costume I wanted to do. Then I picked up the New Age of Apocalypse graphic novel at a used book store and her costume blew me away. I loved the original AoA story and Storm's background within it, but the the extremely short hair of her original look defeated the point of this custom, so this look was perfect! Pulled Storm's mohawk off and made use of some old ToyBiz fodder with the hair from a LOTR Saruman and the tiara from the old Giant Size X-Men 5 pack, with some Green Stuff to tie it all together. Used Apoxie for the boot/glove cuffs and belt. I actually finished this figure quite a while ago, but couldn't figure out what to do for the cape. Finally one day I opened my fodder box and there was a spare MS Storm cape which worked out great after a little resculpting in the front. Hope you like it!

Thank you! I mostly use Model Masters, occasionally some Tamiya clear colors, though in this case it was all Model Masters. I tend to use a tiny bit of water as I paint and build up nice thin, smooth coats.

I only use Testors/Model Masters acrylics, NOT enamel. Enamel paints are more alkyd/solvent based and often won't dry properly on the types of plastic action figures are made from.

That is one of the best Storm customs I've ever seen.
The cape goes a long way to really making it her, but all of it, the parts, the paints, the whole thing is awesome.
The head is amazing, that hair and the headpiece and everything, it's great.
Bravo!

I've seen lots of Storm customs but this is the best looking Storm I've ever seen! The face, head and hair are all perfect. You know how to pick the best hair for customs, like with your Emma Frost too.
