So, I decided I wanted to have a better scaled Rocksteady to go with some of my TMNT figures, and the official one is woefully undersized, a problem that runs rampant through Playmates lines...sadly.
I used a Total Chaos Hoof figure, due to the fact a little paint and minor sculpting could go a long way. I've come to the conclusion that the movie TMNT figures (after a basic repaint) work incredibly well with alot of the McFarlane stuff, so those are the figures I used with this custom.
Quite a change but actually makes a lot of sense. A movie rhino mutant WOULD be that big (especially since the turtles themselves are quite large too). Original Rocksteady and Bebop just looked like animal heads stuck on muscular human bodies but this looks much more like a proper hybrid of rhino and human. Great work!
Honestly, I wish it was just a little taller, next to Mikey he looks monstrous, but next to Leo or Don, he looks only a but larger. Luckily the girth of the figure makes up for the heigth.
The movie version will have to be beast, I mean the Turtles are massive in these films, so unless they down scale them, Bebop and Rocksteady will have to be massive.
