There is no doubt that the Nolan Dark Knight Trilogy set the bar high for superhero movies by rooting the franchise in a gritty, ultra-realism universe. However, I did not particularly enjoy the all black armor, with the motorcycle-like protective padding. It makes sense to keep it black and tactical for this franchise but I would have loved to see a little grey/dark blue action, which we will get in Batman v. Superman. I decided to take the Injustice Batman figure, which features high-tech tactical metal armor and the blue/grey color scheme to make a Nolan-verse Bat-suit mark 4. Because the Injustice armor had colors all over the place, I wanted to make it more streamlined with distinctively iconic/classic color placement (blue gloves, boots, cape, and underwear; grey/metal body armor; gold belt) with the black under suit. I then switched out the slightly undersized batman head for a Christian Bale head. The peg is exactly the same so it was an easy and perfect switch/fit. To tone down the shine of the gunmetal paint I used, I gave him a nice blackwash, which also brought out the grooves in his armor while giving it the gritty, worn over time look. If Nolan decided to continue the story and have Christian Bale's Batman return, I would have loved to see this armor put to use.
