I don't know what happened to the rest of my description?
The base was made from a wooden door. I then made a wooden frame and mounted on ply board. I then made paper mâché for the rock effect. It took about 2 litres of PVA glue - it was the most painstaking part.
Fairy lights were moulded into the rock effect. I used a pen display case and used it for the vault in which Batman keeps his cowl. (Alfred is standing next to it.) I used a Kenner legends of the dark knight Batman and chopped the face off to make it look like just the costume - you can't really see from the pics.
A 99p battery powered light was used for the Robin display and the light above the Batmobile(s).
I wanted to do justice to the Super Powers, Tim Burton and Chris Nolan Batman incarnations.
I had the biggest smile when I placed Batman and Robin next to the Super Powers Batmobile.
