Powers/Skills: Superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability. Limited telepathic defense. Extended life span. Able to sense other Stormbearers. Skilled in many forms of hand to hand combat. Expert in use of various weapons from firearms, bladed weapons, etc. Skilled pilot, tactician and espionage. Working knowledge in the medical and electrical field but by no means an expert. Well-traveled with an understanding of various cultures and languages.

Weapons: Saber possesses a unique suit of armor that works similar to nanotechnology however its properties seem more magical in nature. Light weight to allow easy movement and flexibility however nearly indestructible, the suit will adapt to almost any and all circumstances the wearer will encounter to ensure survival. With a thought suit will cover the wearer’s body with a unique design that the wearer creates from initial contact as well as a unique set of weapons that the wearer chooses. In Saber’s case he uses a sword as well as various whip lines from the tops of his hands that he can use to grapple and subdue adversaries. As an agent of SAINT, Saber has access to various equipment that is standard to all SAINT operatives. He also has his own personal customize motorcycle and jet for travel and is equipped with various weapons and computer systems.

Bio: Nearly 30 years ago the Earth was struck with an enigmatic world event that has been simply known as the Storm. For 7 days and 7 nights, the Storm ravaged and changed the Earth. Because of this, Earth has been put on the radar of various alien races and cosmic/mystical beings. Corban Hunt is a Stormbearer, an offshoot of the human race that was conceived the moment the Storm struck. Because of this he posed a portion of the enigmatic “Storm” in his genetic code and he was born with unique and superhuman abilities. Being brought up to use his abilities selflessly, Corban traveled the world for several years, studying from various experts in their field so as to learn to control as well as understand why he was gifted. As a result of his studies, Corban was at one point drafted into a black ops team made up of similar individuals. It was during this time he was given the code name “Saber”. After the team disbanded, Corban continued his travels and studies. During this time is when he came to obtain his unique armor however the details behind this are unknown. Eventually he found his way into the newly created city state known as Babylon. On his first day there he thwarted an assassination attempt on a high ranking government official. This very public event brought Corban to the attention of the organization known as SAINT (Supernatural And Interstellar Neutralization Team.) Agreeing to join the organization, Corban now acts as SAINT’s agent in dealing with unnatural threats as well as being viewed as the unofficial protector of Babylon.

I created Saber back in 1997. At the time I was never gravitating towards any particular comic character because I kept feeling like something was missing or their were certain restrictions on these characters. So I decided to create the type of character I would want to follow. A character that could be used for a wide range of different stories. A character that could easily be fighting common criminals one minute and then transition in helping thwart and alien invasion and everything in between all while not seeming out of place doing it. I didn't want a character that was too powerful but had a wide range of abilities that didn't focus on a specific power. I guess I was looking for a nice medium between Batman and Superman but also showed the several influences from my childhood. In the time since I created him, Saber has become my signature character. He is the focal point of what I am building my Stormbearer Universe around.

Construction of the figure was simple. Details on the lower legs were dremeled off and sculpting was used on the body, arms and lower legs. To get the arms to fit on the shoulders I had to cut down the peg on the shoulders and then dremel the inside of the arms to make sure they fit. I also had alot of trouble with the should pegs breaking so I put a few layers of super glue on them to strengthen them up. The sword came from some lot of fodder weapons I got. Had to cut the blade down to get it to fit in scale with the figure.
