Since I switched to this body type, I've mostly focused on the New 52 variation for Ultraman. But, I always wanted to go back and give this design another go. I'm so used to applying an emblem right side up, sculpting one upside down seemed like a fun twist. And it actually went much better than I expected. The typical Superman head is also getting harder to acquire, so this time around I went with a cast option. Seemed to work pretty well, and lined up with the reference picture decently enough. Sculpted up those little orbs on his arms and waist, attached a cape, full repaint, and done. A simple enough rendition, and now I want to find more Ultraman designs.
