I wanted a slimmer and tall looking Jones to go with my neca set. I wanted it to look more to the comics as far as color and at the time had no paints. So along came the Hunger Games figure the shirt was already that awesome tone of red and a little sculpting made the pants look like sweats. ripped off poor bjorn's top switched it out for a not so lucky 89 Casey Jones( he was bad; face was even ground up a bit) parts. some mill work to make the arms and head fit. And finally another shout out to my pops for some awesome craftsmanship on the tools, I especially like the pool stick and golf club. super happy with the results. articulation at the knees would be awesome but a last im new at this and don't want to ruin the looks any tips on how to will be very welcomed. and Thanks to all those fantastic realmers who have liked my stuff, you are a bunch of talented sculptors and you giving me props is lighting a spark thanks for looking
if he didn't have such a good pants sculpt with slight blood stains that looks like he has put in some work I would attempt that but im thinking about getting some of those play arts joints and see what I can do
thank you, I thought so too. you wouldn't happen to know how to give him knee articulation would you? the figure has a hard time standing and theres a lot of paint work on the golf bag for him to be taking dives off my shelves
More great work man. This Casey looks bad ass, almost scary. The weapons are great.
One tip I have is, look into getting a roll of cloth MEDICAL tape. Instead of the duct tape, cut it into long thin strips and use as wraps for the weapons. I've been using it a bit lately and I think it would work great for any of your future needs. You have a great style already.
I usually do work with athletic tape. the hockey stick broke almost on completion. the amount of athletic tape it took to keep it solid was enough to hold down a large dog, so I switched it to ducked tape stronger hold and it is a pretty useful tool in the real world lol im working on another once I get another paint stick
