I've got three of the Legion of Substitute Heroes finished up, with another two planned, and maybe more in the future. We have another set to get through first. But, to finish us off for now comes Fire Lad. The body and head were pretty simple. I just grabbed a Human Torch and gave him a repaint. We liked the idea of giving him a body that looked slimmer than Stone Boy, and I thought the Human Torch head had that right, pointy look to it. The cape gave me a little trouble, though, as I was trying to work out the proper look. Cloth, foam, nothing was really working. But, altering the design slightly, and going with an old Storm cape seemed to work out nice. Just cut the bottom down a bit, and repainted it. And to finish him off, I fixed up a little flame effect for him.
