Powers/Skills: Able to fire energy beams as well as see in electromagnetic spectrum, enhanced strength, limited invulnerability, enhanced agility due to suit and cybernetic augmentations. Proficient in use of firearms, high I.Q. and skilled strategist.
Weapons: Refrax possess a high-tech suit of armor that greatly enhances natural abilities such as strength, speed, agility and durability. His helmet allows for vastly improved optics which allows him to see in the different frequencies of the electromagnetic radiation such has X-Ray, Infrared and Ultraviolent, Refrax’s helmet also allows him the ability to fire extremely powerful beams of energy from the eye scope. These beams of energy can be used to stun or kill an opponent based off of the level that Refrax has set on the blast. He can also use the beam for various different uses from using a low beam to open a lock to a beam powerful enough to destroy a tank.
Bio: Refrax was once Richard Franks, one of the top crime bosses in Babylon. For years he ran his syndicate with an iron fist and always led by example. He never asked his men to do anything he wasn’t willing to do himself, including putting himself at risk of being harmed or captured in attempt of pulling of a major heist. However Frank’s success rate was perfect and no one was able to out think or foil his schemes. That all changed one night. It was during one of their jobs that Franks ran into the newest resident of Babylon, Saber. Franks and his men had never dealt with someone like Saber and they quickly defeated and arrested. Franks was the only one who was able to escape. Vowing revenge, Franks plotted and spent millions of dollars to find a way to defeat his new enemy but had no success. Eventually Franks lost everything and in one final attempt he stole an experimental energy weapon and held the city council hostage. As Saber attempted to rescue them, Franks went berserk and attacked his foe. Being outclassed, Franks was easily defeated. In desperation, Franks tried to use the weapon on Saber but it overloaded and exploded in Franks’ hands. The blast severely injured Franks and even cost him his sight. Incapacitated, Franks was escorted away but he never made it to the city jail. Instead Franks awoke in a mysterious facility. His body was rebuilt with cybernetics and he had hi-tech harness attached to his head that restored his vision. It was then Franks was approached by the villain known simply as The Sovereign, who had a proposition for him. Join him as his right hand man and the Sovereign promised Franks his much desired revenge. Franks agreed to the terms. From this point on Richard Franks died and Refrax was born.

Refrax was one of the first villains I came up with that I really liked. The idea came from the fact that I have never been the biggest fan of Cyclops but I thought he would make a better villain. As I was developing Saber and building his rogues gallery, I revisited that idea and began tweaking the character. I was also influenced by Tri-Klops' portrayal in the 2002 MOTU cartoon. Every part of this figure was found at clearance which was very helpful. I swapped the arms on the Mark 5 body with the Maverick so he had better shoulder articulation.
